Alex has had a lot of outdoor time this past weekend, when he spent the night at Grandma and Papa's house, he always seems to love all the room he has to run at their place. He was also fortunate to get a few rides with Uncle Mike and Papa in the tractor and combine, when he came home and we asked him what he got to ride he wouldn't answer, but then we said, what was mike driving, he said "combine." The excitement of the weekend doesn't end with the future farmhand. He also was able to march with Grandma in the homecoming parade in Fairmont, with the school board, and was quite proud of his stroller ride. Then, once he returned home he went with Daddy to a friend's parents' home and ran and played all afternoon, Daddy even took him for a short go-cart ride. He was so wound up after returning home that he decided he didn't need a nap (and was surprisingly pleasant without), now he's tucked tightly in bed snoring.
We are working our way through the last 2 weeks of me working overnights and have truly been blessed by a wonderful sitter who's been spending the night here, so we have someone here when Jeremy heads out for work super early. Now the next step in childcare is finding a new arrangement for when I go back to my normal schedule as we are without childcare at this time. Sometimes I just wish things could fall right into our lap!
