Alex and I are currently working on potty training. He has for the past month intermittently been telling us when he needs a diaper change, so I decided with my 5 day weekend that I would give potty training a try. It has been a fun adventure that we haven't completely gotten our handle on yet, but we're working together on it. Alex has peed in the potty every morning for the past 3 days, and pooped and peed in the potty during the day twice. He also was able to come up to me at a friends house and indicate that he had to go to the bathroom, and peed on the toilet at their house as well. BUT, like everything, we have also had a roller coaster experience with this as well.
Yesterday he walked off in the kitchen without pants on, having just gone in the toilet, and pooped on the kitchen floor. And today, he managed to poop on the living room floor and then step in it and smear it all over the ottoman and himself. See the pictures below of his first time using the toilet!
