Labor Day Weekend

We made a last minute trip down to Mom and Dad's for Labor Day weekend. We debated between going to the state fair or going to Mom and Dad's, we decided the boys are young enough that they would have just as much fun, or more, going to Gma and Papa's. We had lunch and supper with all of us siblings (plus 2 significant others) and made a trip to Grandma and Grandpa Laue's in the afternoon, since it had been a long time since they had seen the boys. The boys had a lot of fun wandering around outside exploring the great outdoors and adventuring in the hayloft. Alex was able to get a short ride with uncle Mike on the 4-wheeler. When we got back to Grandma and Papa's house the kids ran around by the barn playing basketball and driving the Cozy Coupe.












Today we took it easy in the morning and late morning headed over to Jeff's to check out the new "big blue" tractor. We took pictures of the boys getting rides in the tractor and attempted to get a picture of both boys in the big tire, but Alex was afraid to sit in it. After riding in the tractor we found they're kittens and Alex and Elijah had fun holding and petting them. Soon thereafter Alex begged to get a kitten, he's attempting to work his magic with Grandma and Papa to have them get kittens at their house! When we got back to Mom and Dad's Elijah curled up with Matt in Papa's chair to watch a re-run Vikings game and fell asleep. Alex thought it was cute and kept going up to him and saying, "Oh Nimey."
