As many of you already know, our area of the country received a dumping of snow over Christmas, stranding numerous people in the locations they were. We were not an exception. We had fun at home with the boys where we enjoyed watching them play with their toys and working on setting our own family traditions. Our Christmas Day included bundling both boys up and going outside as a family to shovel ourselves out of the drive way. The day before a man had shown up and offered to clean our driveway with a skid-loader, which was a highlight of Alex's Christmas Eve, but we figured the man wouldn't be out on Christmas day cleaning people's driveways, so we faced the challenge as a team. This was Elijah's first time in a snowsuit, and I think we would all agree, he wasn't too fond of it!

We look forward to celebrating Christmas with the Laue crew this weekend, both my immediate family and extended family. Alex left yesterday with Kate and is ringing in the New Year with Grandma and Papa, and loving every minute of it (he was even fortunate enough to sleep with Papa lastnight, since Grandma was working, he must have thought he need the company!)
We rang in the new year with some friends playing games! Definitely our kind of fun. However, Elijah came with us and decided he needed to celebrate with us also. We plan to relax and enjoy a true day off today watching movies, playing games and sleeping! Wishing you all a blessed 2010!
