On the 9th we gathered in my home town with many family and friends to celebrate my grandparent's 50th anniversary! A great time was had by all and it was awesome for us to have a chance to see family and friends we haven't seen in ages. Both boys were such troopers that weekend as we ran short on sleep throughout the weekend. The party was at a park so Alex had a blast playing at the playground all afternoon, needless to say he napped well that afternoon.
On the 15th we gathered with my Dad's side of the family for a gathering of aunts, uncles, cousins and our grandparents. It was nice to see everyone that we don't see too often anymore. Almost everyone was there and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa have 5 baby kittens that Alex LOVED!! The amazing thing was that even as young as they were, and fairly untame, they really seemed to bond with Alex almost immediately. He took one outside and set it down and the kitten followed in his footsteps.
Alex has a new-found love for wiffle ball after watching the older kids play at Great Grandma's house. His favorite was when one of the balls broke and he was able to carry it around and tell people that he broke it when he threw it against the shed. He also found out how cool their house is for all the farm equipment they have there. He enjoyed his quality time with Papa as he toured the equipment, sadly before we know it he will be cruising around in one of them!!
