Not such a good night

We started the night out excited because Alex seemed to have adjusted well to his new toddler bed, when tucking him in. We didn't hear another sound from him.....until, about 1 am when we woke up to screaming, Jeremy went in to see what was wrong and I went right back to sleep, but not for long because I soon woke up to Jeremy saying, "Jen, I can't do this by myself!" I walked in to find Alex covered in vomit and his floor and bed the same.

This was the start of the longest night with Alex since his first night home from the hospital. He did not quit vomitting all night. I slept in the chair in his room with him, the only place he would try to sleep, and Jeremy came in to help us each time we needed to clean up. Alex woke up begging for food and water this morning, we decided to stay bland and go with applesauce and saltines, with water. As I write this Jeremy is out at the store buying pedialyte and children's motrin for our poor boy. We're staying bland for lunch with pancakes and hope to get our boy back to normal by tonight. He refused to nap in his bed this morning (probably because both times he gave in, he ended up with a messy bed), but did accept the offer to watch a movie on the couch. He's currently passed out on the couch, see below for pictures.

Jeremy and I both feel like we were hit by a train, with little or no sleep all night. We have done 2 loads of laundry with 3 pairs of pajamas left to wash as well as 2 throw blankets. Let's hope this battle is done, and we don't have any more clean up to do.

This mirror has been on Alex's bed since he was about 3 months old. I took it off when I took off the siderail, when he came home and found it lying on the floor, he picked it up and carried it over to his bed saying, "Alex pix (fix) it."

He kept laying down and getting back up, excited that he can get out of bed himself. I am too, my back is getting sore!

All tuckered out from a long night.
