On the 25th of August, we bid farewell to our friend Nate (Alex's Godfather), as he is returning to China to teach English for another year. We were thankful to see him right before he headed out and caught a few pictures of him and Alex. We had a lot of fun this past summer getting a chance to catch up with him again! Alex had been talking to him on the computer via webcam during the school year last year, and had no trouble adjusting to seeing the real Nate in person. As soon as he walked in the door, Alex yelled out, "Nate!" and hasn't stopped since then. Its bizarre because now that Nate's gone, Alex has returned to walking up to the computer while I'm on it and saying Nate as if he knows that's how he's going to see him.
