We took off this last weekend to the cities for a fun-filled adventure, but prior to going North, Alex and I had to head South to take the dogs down to grandma and Papa's house. We made a quick visit to the Martin County Fair and had a blast! Alex loved the petting zoo and showed that he had no fear what-so-ever for the animals, he even managed to sneak away twice to attempt to get a closer look at the Zebra! He liked the petting zoo so much that we went through it twice and he was even more brave the second time than the first! After the first trip through Alex saw that they had a pony ride, he said, "Horses!" Well, he said it to the right person! Grandma bought him a ride on the pony and during the whole ride he kept looking at Grandma and saying, "I ride horses!" Sorry, we don't have any pictures to show, Grandma and I forgot our camera's at home! We arrived home late Friday night and Alex headed straight to bed!
Saturday we headed up to the cities to go to the science museum Star Wars exhibit, with Steve, Tina and Will. We found that the kids are much too young to have the patience for such a place! Tina and I flagged down a storm trooper and had our picture taken with him.
Sunday we headed to the Como Zoo and had a quick tour of all the animals. This was Alex's first trip where he was actually able to understand what to look at and say the names of the animals. Mom and Dad had a blast as well as Alex. He also figured out that he can help Mom push the stroller and had a good time doing so.
