KINDERGARTEN!

Alex had his first day of Kindergarten yesterday. I cannot believe that he's this old already. We have all heard moms, grandmas, aunts, friends and acquaintances always tell you to "enjoy them while they're young," now I'm one of them that says it too, in just a blink of an eye, he has moved on to another step further from the grasp of my hands.

He has done so well with the whole process thus far. As many of you are aware he is going to a public school called Bridges, which is a Community school for the Mankato area. He separated from all of his preschool friends and moved on to his new class this year. He has already come home telling us many stories about friends at school, we're anxious for him to make his first new friend to have over for a play date.

Today when we dropped him off, he asked that we both walk him in, however by the time we hit the pavement at the playground, he was running away smiling, with no need to turn around. We are so proud of him for his adjustment to this new environment.
