We have spent majority of the last two days outside and have loved every minute of it! Alex has quickly figured out how to turn the whole backyard into his play area. Elijah has found that he does not like the feeling of grass on his skin, but he does love to be outside. What a great week for VACATION!!
I think at this age, this is the best kind of vacation for our boys. Alex is so well behaved the last few days and has really been demonstrating his sense of humor, I cannot help but to believe that its because he's getting a lot of 1 on 1 time with us. This afternoon prior to nap, he looks at us and says, "Can we all stay home tomorrow??"
As many of you already know, tomorrow is Elijah's FIRST birthday!! Hard to believe how fast the past year has gone, last year at this time, we had threats of a snowstorm! Alex is super excited about Elijah's birthday and went with us this afternoon to find a special birthday present just for Elijah from him. (however, I think he's planning out what he's going to do with it as well. As we walked in the door from the store he looked at us and said, "can we open Elijah's present now?")
