The BiG Day

The day is done, and we're happy that we were able to get through it in one piece. Alex, Elijah and myself packed up and left the house at 7 am this morning. We spent an hour waiting to have Alex go into surgery, once he was in, I had barely sat down before they called me back saying he had finished. Jeremy hadn't even arrived from work yet. We went back to recovery for a very short amount of time, maybe 20 minutes at most, and then were rushed out the door. We left the surgery center by 9 am. Alex was back to his energetic self by 10. He has become even more chatty and pleasant since this morning, we're looking forward to seeing how this procedure has helped him.

Our poor scared little boy, we had a tough time getting comfortable.

Wheeling back for surgery, he wouldn't even look and wave at me!

Loaded up and ready to head back to surgery

Elijah started waking up while Alex and I were wheeling in the hall, so we brought him along.

Showing off his "ticket" to ride the wagon.

Playing with his Thomas and Hector the Trains before he took a wagon ride.
