He continues to learn his letters and has now started to count his numbers. Tonight he suddenly said, "Seven, Eight!" He has a fun piggy-bank that Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Laue gave him that he practices his number with when at home. Daycare has done wonders for him socially and developmentally, they work on learning new things every day and "Lyn-ny" (Lindsay) has been a major role in him learning his letters.
At home he often will say "Keen up! Keen Up!" which may sound familiar to some of you as the "Clean Up Song" Today I found out that one of his favorite toys at Lindsay's sings that song when you push the character.
The last time he went down to "Papa" and "Nana's" house he brought home a truck that great-grandma had found for him, he had enjoyed pushing it up and down their driveway, but found that our short driveway will have to do. He also likes to use it for some off-roading in the lawn. This has helped him to keep himself busy when mom is working in the garden. Yesterday we bought him an "Alex-sized" lawn chair, which he loves to climb up on and sit back and relax, you'd think he'd learned by someone's example!
Jeremy and I have been busy around the house lately, working to get ready for our garage sale on Saturday, painting the house and keeping up with the outdoors; also throwing in quite a few work hours into the mix. I have been working hard to get ahead of the flowerbeds in our yard and plant flowers. Brenda was nice enough to supply us with many perennials that will continue to beautify our yard for years to come!
